Making Time For What Matters- Time Management For Your Best Life

Do you always feel rushed? Are there not enough hours in the day? Do you wish you had more time for your children or your passion? You do. We all do. We just need to spend our time wisely. 

There are 168 hours in a week. How are you using them? Even if you sleep 8 hours per night every night and work 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, you still have 72 hours at your disposal. Maybe you have a side job or small business that you invest 2 hours per day into, there are still 58 hours remaining. Why doesn't it seem like it? How can you capitalize on those precious hours?

At this workshop, Life Coach Tara Taylor will walk you through exercises to first figure out where all of your time is going, and second, how to make the most of every hour of the day.

A TIME DIARY (log of how time is spent, hour by hour) IS REQUIRED FOR ENTRY. Please log your time, hour by hour for at least one weekend day and one week day (more if possible) during the week proceeding the workshop. This does not have to be labor intensive, just write a few words about how you spent the hour, such as:

5:00-6:00am- Drive to Bootcamp/ Bootcamp

6:00-7:00am- Bootcamp/ Drive home

7:00-8:00am-Shower/ Get Dressed

8:00-9:00am- Walk Dog/ Drive to Work- arrive by 8:45/ Set-up computer start working by 9

9:00-10:00am- Check email and respond/ Conference call 9:30-10:00

In order for this to be effective, IT MUST BE DONE IN REAL TIME. Do not try to go back and fill in many hours, because it will not be an accurate reflection of the time spent. Adding more detail will make this exercise evven more effective.

We will be meeting at 8am at the carpool area at SUNSPLASH in ROSEVILLEand then rendezvous at Marin Headlands, Sausalito. The hike will be about 3 hours and we should be back in Sacramento between 5 and 6pm.

Be sure to pack a lunch, plenty of water and dress in layers. It may be chilly. A backpack would also be handy for your personal belongings during the hike.

If you could only choose one way to radically improve the quality of your life, what single technique would you focus on? By regularly setting goals, writing out the steps to achieve them,  and working toward them every single day, you can transform your life in a very short time.  The proven power of goal setting is well known and easy to follow, yet very few people actually make full use of goals in their life. When asked if you have goals, you will of course say "YES", but have you truly set goals? Are they S.M.A.R.T.? Have you written them down? Have you tracked your progress? Are you rewarding good performance? At this workshop, Tara Taylor, certified life coach, will teach you the value of goal setting, how to make it a regular practice, and what SMART goals are.  You will write out your goal(s) for the final quarter of the year, and your road map to achieving it.

Snow Shoeing at Castle Peak Trail - Space is Limited

Snow shoe adventure to Castle Peak Trails!

This is a moderate to challenging hike with snow shoes. The vertical elevation gain from parking lot to the peak is about 1300 feet, peaking at 9100 feet.

The castle peak trail is 6-7 miles round trip with incredible, pristine mountain scenery. Temperatures are usually in the 30's-40's F so make sure to bring warm layers. Total mileage will depend on pace of the group.

Meet at 9am Carpool from Eureka Park n Ride.   

If you need rentals, check with Any Mountain ($23 - $25 Daily).

What to bring:

Hand warmers (gloves and hat)

Camel pack or water bottles

Day pack or small backpack

Warm winter gear (breathable layers)

Waterproof hiking boots (snow shoes strap on to)

Sunscreen

Lunch and snacks

Hike Loch Leven Lakes Trail with Coach Sara!

This hike is free to Mama Bootcamp members, but you must register HERE.

Loch Leven Lakes Trail is a lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Norden, CA that features a lake and is rated as moderate. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Bring plenty of water, sack lunch and snacks
No technical equipment needed, but hiking poles and climbing boots helpful.

Carpool: Meet at Eureka Park & Ride located at 1817 Taylor Road at 8:00 a.m.
