mojo stories…Maria A.
I was stuck in a rut and very unhappy with everything and everyone!
I would put up a front and pretended everything was great and that I was happy. But in reality, I would constantly complain about work, friends, family, my boyfriend, and daily life in general. Other than work and family gatherings, I really didn’t feel like I had a whole lot going for myself. I definitely would turn to food when I was stressed, bored, and when I needed comfort. Looking back I was in need of a little TLC.
The first day I went to Mama Bootcamp, Lorri Ann was coaching.
I was very intrigued by the workouts and the great energy the coaches provided. I definitely felt sore and tired the next day, but I knew it was something I was going to learn to enjoy.
Sure enough, it didn’t take me very long to commit to Mama Bootcamp, homework, changing eating habits, learning how to make changes throughout my life and everything started to fall in place. I honestly look forward to going to Bootcamp and getting all my frustration, stress, and bad energy out of my system. The Mama Bootcamp ladies are the best! Every one of them inspires me to continue doing what I am doing. They are a huge support. Danielle has become my running buddy and a friend. She pushes me to do better and I think I do the same for her. All the coaches bring such great energy and positive attitudes. It is contagious! They are always willing to help, encourage and push you!
I’m learning to accept the things I cannot change and CHANGE the things that are in my control. I see the best in the people around me. I’m working on my relationships with family, friends, and my boyfriend. I have made working out a priority and drastically changed my eating habits. Don’t get me wrong... I still have my beers and Mexican food, but I’ve learned that I’ll just have to run it off later! I’m motivated and determined to continue being successful at anything and everything I put my mind to. I thank Mama Bootcamp, the coaches, and the great group of ladies that have inspired me.
